The original REELEX® package.

What is REELEX I?

The original REELEX package, REELEX I uses small 0.75-inch OD payout tubes (called “EZ-Tubes”) and is suitable for small, flexible products. Typical box designs are side-loaded with interlocking flaps.

The “REELEX I” designation has been commonly used to distinguish these packages from the more recent “REELEX II” designs.

REELEX I boxes are slightly narrower than REELEX II packages, are all side-loaded, and are commonly used for packaging smooth, highly flexible products such as security/alarm cables, hookup wire, THHN, speaker wire and more.

  • Smallest package type for smaller, flexible products

  • Payout tube includes snap-on ring (“locking ring”) to affix tube to package

  • Typically uses side-load box designs

  • Tube is exposed on the outside of the package in typical box designs
